Recycle Right!

We know you want to Recycle Right, so we wanted to point out a common contaminate in the Mixed Recycling Roll Cart that actually belongs in the garbage.
The only recyclable items are below.
- Cardboard
- Scrap Paper
- Tin Cans
- Aluminum Cans
- Plastic Bottles & Jugs #1 & #2
- Newspaper
Anything else either belongs in the Mixed Compost Roll Cart or Garbage Roll Cart. The packaging shown in Photo 3 is made of a waxy paper and Styrofoam. It's commonly used by Amazon or food delivery service companies to insulate fragile items. It's NOT recyclable and needs to be thrown into the garbage. Please be sure to follow the list provided to Recycle Right in order to help reduce garbage in the recycling, which cause more issues for our environment.
If packaging has a "recycle" symbol (3 chasing arrows), that doesn't mean it automatically belongs in your Mixed Recycling Roll Cart. This symbol typically shows what kind of plastic or other material a packaging product is made of and doesn't relate to the recyclability of the product, which we know can be confusing.
